Mahindra’s latest SUV offering, the Scorpio-N, is a bold and modern evolution of the legendary Scorpio. Dubbed as the "Big Daddy of SUVs," the Scorpio-N blends rugged off-road capabilities with urban sophistication, making it a powerful and versatile choice in the mid-size SUV segment.

Design and Build

The Scorpio-N boasts a commanding road presence with its muscular design, upright stance, and signature Mahindra grille featuring chrome slats and a new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo. It’s built on a new-generation body-on-frame platform that ensures toughness and durability while improving ride comfort. The LED projector headlamps, DRLs, fog lamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels (on higher trims) add to its aggressive yet premium appeal.

Inside, the cabin is a significant upgrade from the previous Scorpio. It features a modern dashboard layout, premium soft-touch materials, and a dual-tone interior. The touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, leatherette upholstery (in top variants), and sunroof offer a more refined and tech-rich experience.

Engine and Performance

Mahindra offers the Scorpio-N with both petrol and diesel engines:

• 2.0L mStallion Turbo Petrol:

• Torque: 370 Nm (manual), 380 Nm (automatic)
• 2.2L mHawk Turbo Diesel:
• Power: 130 bhp (lower trims), 175 bhp (higher trims)
• Torque: 300 Nm – 400 Nm, depending on the variant

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel variant also gets the 4XPlor 4WD system with terrain modes (Normal, Snow, Mud, Sand), a low-range gearbox, and mechanical locking differential, making it a capable off-roader.
